Having an avid interest for Sudoku puzzles is healthy because the brain is the main tool on solving the numbers puzzles. Whether you're answering Sudoku on a very easy level, your logical ability processes every single number you write in each Sudoku square. Origin of Sudoku

Sudoku is a Japanese word, which means "single number". Despite its Japanese name, Sudoku is invented by an American architect back in 1979. At only almost 30 years of age, Sudoku had completely taken the whole world by storm. It seems, Sudoku is everywhere.

How to Play Sudoku

Mainly logic-based, the Sudoku game is really a simple number puzzle. But it is not as easy as it looks. Do not be fooled by the innocent-looking small squares in the Sudoku grids and blocks. A strict rule controls this simple yet complicated game.

The main objective of the Sudoku game is to fill up all squares with numbers. One number for each square. Choose any number from 1 to 9. Take note that no same number can appear on the same line, or row, or column, or grid. The Sudoku puzzle is solved when the 9 by 9 grids and the 3 by 3 blocks are completed, which each row and each column containing a number from 1 to 9 without repetition. Always remember, no same number can appear in the same line, row, column, grid and block.

I love these puzzles. One book of them lasts for ages, great for taking on a flight & you can tear pages out to amuse others too.
